Stewart
Patterson, Honorary President of SAFPA, received his award for
Reserve Champion Old Pigeon at the 2000 Championship Show from
Erina Marais. Stewart served SAFPA as Treasurer from 1979 up
until 1992, when he was elected as National President from
1992 until 1998. He is currently Regional President of Gauteng,
a position he has held since 1992. Stewart was admitted to the
Fancy Pigeon Hall of Fame during 1999. |

Pikket
and Lena Coetzee from Windhoek, Namibia with Joey and Gert
Bierman from Standerton. Pikket and Gert have more than 80
years of SAFPA membership between them. Gert was National
Secretary of SAFPA between 1969 and 1981 and was one of the
eleven fanciers who were admitted to the Fancy Pigeon Hall of
Fame on an ad hoc basis during 1996 when this SAFPA award was
presented for the first time. |

Pieter
Neetling and Arthur Muller are the young and driving force in South Western Districts, with
their headquaters in Oudtshoorn. They are both on the SWD
Regional Committee. SWD hosted SAFPA National Championship
Show during July 2003. |

Jan
Lombard, left, also known for collecting rings from all over
the world, together with the two stalwarts from Namibia, Small
Blackie and Big Blackie Swart. These two gentlemen from
Namibia travel more than 4000 km every time to attend the
annual Nationals. They never miss out on any of these events |
